After just one season, Scott Skiles resigned as head coach of the Orlando Magic on Thursday morning amid possible turmoil between he and the front office. It was a surprising development all the way around, and the shock extended to Orlando’s players.
First, Victor Oladipo offered some positive sentiment amid his own surprise.
Im as surprised as anyone else, but I just wanna thank coach skiles for helping us but especially me improve … https://t.co/6CzbFmIHeQ

Swingman Evan Fournier offered a more honest, blunt reaction. (NFSW)

Whoever takes over in Orlando will find a promising situation, with some good young players, an expected significant dip into free agency and a lottery pick coming. Oladipo and Fournier are two of those promising pieces, and the Magic could easily become a playoff team next season.
