Dikembe Mutombo Causes A Stir By Congratulating Philadelphia 76ers On Landing No. 1 Pick

NBA Hall of Famer Dikembe Mutombo caused quite a stir this afternoon after congratulating his former team — the Philadelphia 76ers — on landing the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft via a tweet that has since been deleted.

Obviously, the lottery doesn’t start for a few hours still, so many thought Mutombo had insider information. Not long after the incident went viral, he took to Twitter once again to apologize.
