LeBron James' Lifetime Deal With Nike Worth North Of $1 Billion

Earlier this year, USA TODAY Sports revealed that Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James had inked a lifetime deal with apparel mogul Nike. While the exact monetary amount wasn’t given, they reported that the deal was worth more than $500 million. In a recent interview with GQ, LeBron’s agent Maverick Carter revealed it was much more than that.

From GQ:

“How much was the deal for?

I can’t say.

Come on, Mav! Can you ballpark it?

What are people saying?

Kanye said a billion. So a billion.

[Maverick smiles and points one finger skyward.]

Holy [expletive].

Yeah. It’s a fantastic deal. Nike feels great about the deal. That’s the most important thing. As great as I feel, as great as LeBron feels-Nike feels fantastic about it. It’s the largest deal in the history of the company. Their hope is he makes even more. And our hope is that, too, obviously.”

That’s right. LeBron is a freaking billionaire. The crazy part is that this is only from one endorsement deal, and he could very well end up making more than $1 billion from the deal. It must be good to be King.
