The unanimous 2016 Rookie of the Year is already one of the better big men in the NBA. His second season could be a glimpse into even more upside.

Power Forward: Gorgui Dieng

Barring the addition of a veteran power forward, Dieng progressed enough in his third season (12.7 points, 8.0 rebounds per game over the final 36 games) to deserve a starting job. Dieng is a nice complementary player, and that's all he needs to be.

Small Forward: Andrew Wiggins

Wiggins would ideally play small forward primarily going forward, while improving his overall consistency. Towns might the proverbial "alpha dog" for Minnesota, but Wiggins is also a budding star and a very important player.

Shooting Guard: Zach LaVine or Jimmy Butler

LaVine is a bit slight of build to be an ideal shooting guard, but he showed he's more than a Slam Dunk champ late this season. A possible Thibodeau-Butler reunion will fuel trade rumors, with Minnesota possibly willing to move the No. 5 pick.

Point Guard: Ricky Rubio

Rubio is at a point in his career where he may never become a great perimeter shooter, but he's still just 25 years old and is absolutely a part of the Timberwolves' future. As the team gets better, health is the key for Rubio.
