Cleveland Cavaliers Are Now In Serious Trouble Against Golden State Warriors

Game 4 was a battle the Cleveland Cavaliers had to win. They had to win it because going down 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors heading back to Oakland was a terrifying outlook for the Cavs to face.

Unfortunately for Cavs fans, their team has to face that task now. Laying before LeBron James and his Cavaliers is a scenario in which they have to win three straight games in order to bring Cleveland its first professional championship in 50 years. Within this scenario, the Cavs must find a way to pull off two wins at Oracle Arena.

Is it a possibility in that the Cavs could become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-1 series deficit to win the title? Absolutely.

Cleveland has the talent in place to compete against the Warriors. James is the NBA’s best all-around player, and Kyrie Irving is one of its top point guards. Kevin Love is one of the league’s top stretch-fours, and surrounding those three is a collection of talent that 26 other NBA teams wish they had. So they have the talent to make history.

But is it likely that the Cavs can make history against Golden State? Truthfully, no it’s not.

The Warriors have better overall talent. Say what you want, but Stephen Curry has surpassed King James as the best player in the NBA by far, and his backcourt mate, Klay Thompson, is one of the top two-way players in the game today.

Add to it the fact that Draymond Green is a triple-double threat every night, and coming off the bench is a strong unit of veteran talent that will do whatever it takes to contribute to the team’s overall success. This is what makes the Warriors better than the Cavs and the primary reason why I can’t see this series continuing beyond Monday night.

Make no mistake, the Cavs are a better team than they were last year, but the Warriors are a much stronger team also. And as it stands right now, the Warriors are in great shape to win back-to-back titles and cement their legacy as one of the best teams in NBA history.
