In Game 4 of the 2016 NBA Finals, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green was getting inside of LeBron James‘ head with some serious trash talk and it was a factor in the Warriors’ 108-97 victory that has put them on the verge of winning their second straight championship.
Unfortunately, Green will not be able to play in Game 5 due to an incident that happened with James in that crucial Game 4. The two got tangled up and Green ended up falling to the floor. Instead of getting up normally, James decided to step over Green and straddle him which obviously infuriated the Warriors forward who took a swipe and James’ groin.
After reviewing the incident, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Kiki Vandeweghe assessed Green a flagrant 1 which gave Green four flagrant foul points during the playoffs and means an automatic one-game suspension.
Following the game, Warriors guard Klay Thompson had some interesting comments regarding James.
Klay Thompson on trash talk: “I’m surprised some guys take it so personal. It’s a man’s league. I guess (LeBron’s) feelings got hurt.”

The media caught wind of Thompson’s comments and passed them along to LeBron during his postgame press conference.
Here’s his response:

Despite saying he would take the high road, James’ comments weren’t the final ones on this topic. That designation would go to Stephen Curry‘s wife Ayesha who destroyed LeBron with one single tweet.
