Rapper Master P Wants To Join New Orleans Pelicans' Coaching Staff Next Season

By Timothy Downs

Rapper Master P wasn’t able to fulfill his dream of playing in the NBA, but that doesn’t mean he will never be employed in the association.

TMZ recently caught up with P (aka Percy Miller) in a Los Angeles shopping center, and asked him what moves the New Orleans Pelicans need to make over the offseason.

Miller, a New Orleans native, made it clear that he believes the team should add him to its coaching staff.

“I think they need me,” P told TMZ.

From TMZ:

Robert Horry says there’s no limit to what Master P can do in the NBA coaching ranks … as long as he’s willing start from the bottom … like, the very bottom.

P told us he was gunning for an assistant coach job with the New Orleans Pelicans this summer, and when we got Horry out at LAX we had to ask if he thought the Colonel had a shot.

Horry said he knows P and can vouch for his hoops knowledge, but still thinks he’s gonna have to work his way up from the ground floor if he wants a real shot.

Robert said it, not us, P … It Ain’t Our Fault.
