By Timothy Downs

Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell sunk an incredible, buzzer-beating trey to secure a 110-109 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.

After the game, we found out that Russell lost his grandmother earlier in the day.

After being mobbed by his Lakers teammates, Russell hugged family members in the crowd in what can only be described as an overwhelmingly emotional scene.

Naturally, Russell spoke of his grandmother’s passing to reporters.
