Paul George Doesn't Make All-NBA Team – Indiana Pacers Can't Offer Super-Max Contract

By Anthony Blake

Per a clause in his contract, the latest news that Paul George didn’t make this year’s All-NBA team means that the Indiana Pacers are likely to lose their superstar player over the offseason.

Rumors have linked George to the Los Angeles Lakers for some time now, and this revelation all but confirms his departure.

Had he been an All-NBA selection, an extension with Indiana would have potentially made George the highest paid player in the league on a five-year, $210 million deal.

Now, the super-max contract is off the table and Indiana is likely starting a complete rebuild without its superstar.
