David West Throws Perfect Overhand Pass to Ian Clark to Beat Buzzer, Spark Warriors

By Anthony Blake

Sometimes it’s difficult to pinpoint that moment in a game where the momentum shifts and things turn completely in the other direction.

Well, for the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 against the San Antonio Spurs, that juncture was represented by this David West football-style hurl down the court to Ian Clark to beat the first-quarter buzzer.

The calm reverse finish from Clark capped off this perfectly executed play and sparked the Warriors, who were trailing by six points at the time.

After being behind by four after the first, Golden State turned that burst of energy from the final play of the opening stanza into a nine-point lead at the half en route to a 120-108 victory to take a 3-0 series lead.

Seems like the NBA Finals matchup was preordained, and both teams breaking out the brooms to achieve it is just icing on the cake.
