OKC Thunder Big Man Enes Kanter Detained in Romanian Airport for Political Views

As an outspoken critic of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Oklahoma City Thunder big man Enes Kanter took quite a risk by traveling to Romania to express his views.

Now he is being detained in the airport by police and posted this video to social media as a protest for the dictatorial actions in his homeland.

Kanter is a guy with real character and substance, which the NBA seems to be full of these days.

His actions to help his home country are certainly admirable, and he took a chance by using his public fame to take a stand.

Hopefully his opinions and criticism inspire some real change in an area of the world that obviously needs it.
