LeBron James Tells Reporters He's Never Played For A 'Super Team' During Postgame Press Conference

By Timothy Downs

The Cleveland Cavaliers left everything out on the court during the 2017 NBA Finals, but it just wasn’t enough to upset the juggernaut Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant now involved in the rivalry.

LeBron James was nothing short of magnificent for Cleveland, becoming the first player in league history to average a triple-double in the Finals.

Obviously, ‘King James’ was disappointed with his team’s series loss, but he made it a point to tell reporters he won’t be hanging his head after putting together an insane individual performance against the Warriors.

James made the most news when he told a Basketball Insiders reporter that he doesn’t feel like he’s ever been a member of a “Super Team.”

James was asked about what’s next for the Cavs this coming offseason by ESPN‘s Rachel Nichols, and noted that every NBA front office will be trying to devise a plan to build a team capable of dethroning Golden State.

Teams and franchises are going to be trying to figure out ways that they could put personnel together, the right group of guys together, to be able to hopefully compete against this team.

And like I said, they are as good as you can assemble. And I’ve played against some really good teams that were assembled perfectly and they’re right up there.

So, we will see.
