Jimmy Butler Arrives In Minnesota — Reunites With HC Tom Thibodeau

By Timothy Downs

While Jimmy Butler undoubtedly loved the ‘Windy City’ and was extremely disappointed in the way his time with the Chicago Bulls ended, a new chapter has now begun in his career and it appears the blossoming NBA star is excited for his future with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

After a flight back to the United States from Paris, Butler finally arrived in the ‘Twin Cities’ and reunited with his former and now current head coach, Tom Thibodeau.

It’s hard to imagine the Timberwolves not being successful with a core of Ricky Rubio, Andrew Wiggins, Jimmy Butler, and Karl Anthony-Towns in place.

However, adding depth to the bench is paramount for the Timberwolves this summer. General Manager Scott Hayden simply can’t neglect to continue accumulating pieces to the puzzle and expect to truly compete in a tough Western Conference.

Adding a veteran like Andre Iguodala as their sixth-man would work wonders for the Timberwolves, but don’t be surprised if his former team, the Philadelphia 76ers, scoop him up if the Golden State Warriors can no longer afford him.
