The idea of trading Carmelo Anthony has been floated about by the New York Knicks for quite some time, but no real suitors seemed plausible – until now.
Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum recently revealed his conversations with Anthony about the idea of moving out west.
Both McCollum and Damian Lillard are clearly courting Anthony with the idea of forming a big three in Portland to compete with the juggernaut Golden State Warriors.
Today’s NBA requires at least three, and possibly even four, stars per team to compete for a title, and clearly McCollum is just articulating what everyone else already knows – it’s Golden State and then everybody else until further notice.
