Watch D'Angelo Russell Crush Jarrett Jack's Soul

It’s been a slow start to the NBA career of D’Angelo Russell, the Los Angeles Lakers‘ No. 2 pick in 2015. Although the rookie guard has shown glimpses of greatness, he’s been slow to adjust to the game. However, on Friday night, he showed why the Lakers decided to take him over big man Jahlil Okafor.

As he came down the court being covered by Brooklyn NetsJarrett Jack, he decided to use some of his sweet moves to create some space. While some will blame it on Jack running into Julius Randle, there’s no denying his ankles were already broken at that point. What’s even better is Russell nailed the shot — and the Lakers won the game for their first W of the season.

While this was certainly a masterful display of handles, it’s not like Russell is new to breaking ankles. You all remember this gem from the 2015 NCAA Tournament, right?

The rookie put the sickest move of the young 2015-16 NBA season on the seasoned veteran.
