Mike Rice has done it again. The Rutgers head coach has scored the verbal commitment from yet another member of the class of 2011.
6-foot-3 point guard Jerome Seagears is headed to Rutgers. The Flora MacDonald Academy (FL) prospect has added himself to a class that has continuously been building over the last month or so.
With the addition of Seagears, Mike Rice has now pulled together a class of five players that has Rutgers thinking that a bright future might be in store. Rice was hired following the firing of former head coach Fred Hill this past off-season.

Seagears joins the likes of Virginia native Malick Kone, point guard Myles Mack, and South Kent Prep (CT) forwards Derrick Randall and Kadeem Jack.
Seagears is a tough and hard-nosed point guard who is known for his tendencies to pressure defenses, as well as push the ball offensively. He also believes he can gel well with fellow incoming point Myles Mack, who has the ability to shot the three and get himself into the lane.
If Seagears and Mack can form a bond and work together, Rutgers might find themselves with a very talented and tough back court in 2011.
