Penn State was awarded a #10 seed in the NCAA tournament today. The Lions will be in the tournament for the first time since 2001. Penn State will play the #7 seeded Temple Owls in Tucson Arizona on Thursday. The time for the game is 2:10 on TNT.
Penn State’s battle tested seniors finally have the one part of their careers that they have been dreaming of since kids. A deep run into the Big Ten Tournament was absolutely the key for this opportunity for Penn State. The Lions should matchup well with Temple and could be set up to make another run that would absolutely ignite Nittany nation. Many analysts had Penn State in as a 12 or 11 seed and even worse as a play in 12 seed. However, the committee disagreed and gave Penn State a very generous seeding.
Now things are up to the players once again.
