Texas Basketball Releases 2012-13 Non-Conference Schedule

The Texas basketball team has released its 2012-13 non-conference schedule.

Matchups will include games again North Carolina, Michigan State, UCLA and Georgetown, making Texas’ schedule one of the highest rated in terms of name value.

In addition, head coach Rick Barnes and company will be competing in the EA Sports Maui Invitational and the Jimmy V Classic.

The schedule is as follows:

Opener

Nov. 9: Fresno State

EA Sports Maui Invitational Regional Round (Austin, Texas)

Nov. 12: Coppin State

EA Sports Maui Invitational (Maui, Hawaii)

Nov. 19: TBD

Nov. 20: Seminfinal Round

Nov. 21: Championship Round

Two-Game Home Stretch

Nov. 21: Sam Houston State

Dec. 1: Texas-Arlington

Jimmy V Classic (New York, N.Y.)

Dec. 4: vs. Georgetown

Return to Texas

Dec. 8: vs. UCLA (Houston, Texas)

Dec. 15: Texas State

Dec. 19: North Carolina

Dec. 22: @ Michigan State

Dec. 29: Rice

Other teams participating in the Maui Invitational are Butler, Chaminade, Illinois, Marquette, Mississippi State, North Carolina and USC).

The Big 12 Conference schedule has not yet been finalized and will be released shortly. The television schedule for the Longhorns will be completed at a later date.
