Xavier Rathan-Mayes: 2013 Guard Tweets Out Top 10 Schools

By way of Ontario, Canada, Xavier Rathan-Mayes has molded himself into one of the top players in the class of 2013.

Rathan-Mayes, who currently attends Huntington Prep (WV), took to twitter on Wednesday afternoon to announce his top ten schools, in no specific order.

The 6-foot-4 guard listed: Baylor, UConn, Alabama, Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Illinois, Memphis, Texas, and UCLA.

While one of the top prospects in the class has no timetable for an announcement, his final ten schools does show the capacity to which the guard is capable of playing.

ESPN ranks Rathan-Mayes at No. 21 among class of 2013 recruits, while Rivals lists him at No. 48.

According to his recruiting profiles on each of the aforementioned websites, Rathan-Mayes holds scholarship offers from a handful of the teams listed in his ten finalists.

While the class of 2013 is loaded with elite shooting guards, Rathan-Mayes has continued to assert himself among the best.

The Canadian ran with the CIA Bounce on the AAU circuit this past summer.

UNC's Marcus Paige ended his shooting slump vs. Notre Dame Saturday. Paige caught fire and sank 5-of-8 three-pointers and scored 21 points in the game. Prior to Saturday, the Tar Heels guard had connected on only 5 three-pointers in his last six games and had only scored in double-figures once.

North Carolina vs. Notre Dame: 5 Irish players scored in double figures to upset the second-ranked Tar Heels, 80-76. Bonzie Colson and Zach Auguste both had double doubles for the Irish. Marcus Paige led North Carolina with 21. Notre Dame fans stormed the court after the game.
