2013 Forward Tyler Roberson Looking Ahead to Fall Visits

At 6-foot-8, Tyler Roberson, is labeled as one of the top prospects within the class of 2013.

Roberson is versatile and has the ability to play both forward positions. Given his overall talent and ability to improve, Roberson has been targeted by many high-major programs throughout his recruitment.

Early last month, Roberson announced that he had trimmed his list down to ten schools. Among those that made the cut included SMU, Syracuse, Kansas, South Carolina, Alabama, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Kentucky, Florida, and Villanova.

After taking the time to speak with Rant Sports, Roberson said that he has three official visits lined up to SMU, Kansas and Syracuse. Roberson said that he will also visit South Carolina, unofficially this fall.

When asked what he was looking for in a particular school, Roberson said, “A school with a good coaching staff, somewhere where I feel comfortable.”

As the month of September kicks in, Roberson remains focused on making a decision in the coming months, yet there is no rush or guarantee that that will happen. “I want to have a decision by the fall, but it could be in the spring,” he explained via text.

However, Roberson also touched upon his plan to trim things even more. “I’m going to trim my list in September or October to five,” he said. Additional reports surfaced late last month that Kentucky was expected to come see Roberson play during the fall, so speculation into who will make his next wave of cuts will continue.

Roberson currently attends Roselle Catholic H.S. (NJ) and is ranked at No. 24 overall by ESPN. He ran with the N.J. Roadrunner during his time on the AAU circuit.
