North Carolina Coach Roy Williams Undergoing Surgery For A Tumor
Roy Williams is a legend in college basketball. He has won national titles and been a success everywhere he has been. However, the coach might be up against a new battle. Reports are stating that the North Carolina coach is undergoing surgery in order to remove a tumor.

No word on what type of tumor it is, but this is certainly not a good thing. Hopefully it is not life threatening and Williams will be back on the sideline before we know it. If he has to miss time, that is not a good thing for basketball or for UNC. The sport will suffer and so will the team in the long run.
UNC has been in some scandals due to the weird class issue that they have had. Basically, kids were taking classes that really didn’t exist in order to stay eligible. The NCAA said that nothing was wrong but it left a sour taste in a lot of people’s mouths. Hopefully this is not stress related to that issue.
We will keep you updated on Williams whenever more information about this comes to light. It is never a good thing when a well known name like this has to deal with this. I expect the coach to make a full recovery and be back on the sidelines soon. Without him, college basketball just isn’t the same.
