The 2012 season hasn’t even started yet, but Colorado is already shooting 100 percent.

Three recruits have come to Boulder on official visits and now all three have committed to be a part of the up and coming program.

The latest commitment comes from Tacoma, Wash. SF Tre’Shaun Lexing as he committed on the spot during his official visit this past weekend. He’s rated as three-stars by Rivals recruiting service and chose Colorado over offers from UCLA, Arizona St. and Gonzaga.

Lexing, 6-foot-6 and 185 lbs, has a solid mid-range game and although he doesn’t have the greatest shooting range, he can consistently hit jumpers inside 17 feet. Lexing is able to take defenders off the dribble with ease and his triple-threat game has improved immensely since last summer. If he’s covered and there isn’t a chance for him to score, he sets up his teammates well with nice passes. His rebounding game leaves room for improvement, but if he asserts himself and makes the effort to hit the boards, he’s a solid contributor.

Lexing joins PF Dustin Thomas and SG Jaron Hopkins in Colorado’s 2013 recruiting class. The latest commitment should round out the 2013 class and it’s another impressive one for Tad Boyle. All three players fit the Buffaloes’ style of play and they should just add more depth to an already young and talented roster.

The Tacoma product has all the potential to become a high-level forward at the collegiate level and he should thrive under Boyle.
