The CAA has an 18-game package with the NBC Sports Network for the upcoming 2012-13 season.  It has recently been released that Old Dominion will have five of it’s contests broadcast on the network this year including both games against rival George Mason.

Old Dominion’s first game on the network will be on Jan. 10 at George Mason and the next matchup between the two rivals, on Feb. 4, will also be shown.  In that same week, the Monarchs appear on the sports network again for a tough challenge as they take on the defending CAA regular season champs, Drexel on Feb. 7.

Just a few days later on Feb. 11, ODU will go on the road to take on, what is expected to be, a tough Delaware team.  The last game on the network will be the highly anticipated CAA home-finale for ODU as they host Drexel inside The Ted.

NBC Sports Network is a cable network serving nearly 80 million sports fans.  It is host to the Summer and Winter Olympics, NHL, Boxing as well as various college sports.  The network also boasts sports talk shows such as Costas Tonight, NFL Turning Point and NBC Sports Talk.    You can access the network through cable and satellite operators throughout the country.

In the 2012-13 season, the network will broadcast more than 50 college basketball games, which is the most in their history.  Besides the CAA, other conferences featured will be A-10, Ivy League and Mountain West.

The entire CAA basketball television schedule will include over 100 broadcasts and will be announced on CAA Basketball Media Day next Tuesday, Oct. 16.

All ODU games shown on the NBC Sports Network this season will start at 7 p.m.
