The top rated recruit in the 2013 class of basketball players still remains undecided as far as which school he will commit to and play for in the 2013-14 season.
While several other of the top recruits have already committed to the schools of the dreams over the past two weeks, the number one recruit Jabari Parker has yet to make his decision but he has narrowed his choices down from 10 schools to just five now. The five schools remaining in the hunt for Parker’s services next season are Duke, BYU, Florida, Michigan State and Stanford.
He will have an official visit with each of the schools in the upcoming weeks (Michigan State this weekend, Duke Oct. 26-28, Florida Nov. 2-4, Stanford Nov 9-11 and BYU Nov 16-20). Tom Izzo has been recruiting Parker since he was a ninth grader and many feel that he may have the upper hand in the situation but you k=never know anything can happen during the visits that could sway Parker one way or the other.
The early signing period is set to kick off on November 14 and will lend on the 21 if Parker does not sign by then he will have to wait until April 17 through May 15 before he can actually sign with the school which he intends on going to and playing for next season.
As a junior at at Simeon Career Academy in Chicago, IL he averaged 19.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 4.9 assist, 3.3 blocks and 1.4 steals per game. Parker’s was names Mr. Basketball Illinois and the National Gatorade Player of the Year as well.
