Rant Sports NCAAB Conference Preview: MAC
Another year of college basketball is quickly approaching and in preparation, Rant Sports College Basketball Network Manager Paul Seaver will be breaking down and predicting the outcomes of each conference across the country.
Today, we look at the MAC:
After making a run to the Sweet 16 a season ago, Ohio returns both D.J. Cooper and Walter Offutt in the back court. Expectations are once again soaring for the Bobcats and newly-appointed head coach Jim Christian takes over a program with aspirations of another MAC title.
However, Akron has other thoughts. Seven-footer Zeke Marshall is back and the Zips are looking to dethrone Ohio in 2013. In addition, Javon McCrea leads a tough Buffalo squad that also highlights a top-heavy eastern division. As league opponents have also learned in recent memory, Kent State is another group that cannot be taken lightly.
