The college basketball season has begun but the Indiana Hoosiers are still working hard on the recruiting trail. While visiting head coach Tom Cream on campus, Noah Vonleh committed to the Hoosier program and helping build off what is projected to be a successful 2012-13 campaign.
Vonleh showed his excrement in a few quotes he gave ESPN:
“From Day One, Indiana has been recruiting me the hardest,” Vonleh told ESPN.com. “They were just letting me know how they could develop me into the player I want to be at the next level. Their academics are good, they’re the No. 1 team in the country and they’ve got another great class coming in next year.”
“They said next year I could come in and be one of the main guys,” Vonleh said. “They’re going to lose Christian Watford, and probably (Cody) Zeller, so they want me to come in a be a big piece right away.”
So not only is Vonleh excited to join the program but has predicted the departure of Zeller. So not only will Indiana gain one of the top prospects in the country but a human being with the ability of ESP.
Vonleh also gave out a quote which is about as honest as you want a young person to be:
“As soon as I walked out near the court they started chanting, ‘We want Noah,‘ ” he said.
So here is the key to all you coaches struggling to get recruits to join your program, play up to their vanity.
