The No. 10 ranked Florida Gators will be hosting the No. 22 ranked Wisconsin Badgers tonight in what will be the first real test for both teams.  Both teams won their first games by a large margin, Florida beating Alabama State 84-35 and Wisconsin defeating Southeastern Louisiana 87-47.  But these two teams have something else in common.

Both teams have had to adjust to playing without their starting point guard.  Josh Gasser, the Badgers point guard will be out for the remainder of the season with an ACL tear.  Scottie Wilbekin, the Gators point guard is still suspended and it is still unknown when he will return.

This means both teams will lack experience at the point guard position and will likely rely on experience from other positions tonight.

The Badgers and Gators have only met 3 times in the past, meaning both teams are unfamiliar with each other.  The Florida Gators are an athletic team that relies on an up-tempo style of play for easy buckets.  This may be a challenge against the Badgers, who generally like to slow teams down in the half court and make them create a shot out of their offense.

With Wilbekin out, Florida will need to keep composure, push the ball when they can, but take good shots within their offense.

It will be an interesting match up tonight between these two ranked teams.  Both play a different style and must take advantage of what they are given instead of forcing things.

Ultimately, the game will come down to who is going to step up for each team and fill the void of the experienced point guard missing on both rosters.
