Best Game to Watch This Week in College Basketball

Most college students will be heading home for the week for Thanksgiving, but that does not mean college basketball will follow by taking a break. There are plenty of great games to watch this week, but the best game to watch will be the match-up between the Creighton Blue Jays and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Creighton has gotten off to a great start beating both North Texas and UAB. North Texas was considered to be one of the best mid-majors entering the season, but the Blue Jays beat the Mean Green pretty convincingly, by the score of 71-51. The Blue Jays are 3-0 on the season and haven’t really played in a close game yet. Doug McDermott’s scoring may be down from last season, but he is still leading the team with 16.7 points per game. However, McDermott did just drop 24 points on Presbyterian.

As for the Badgers, they will have a very busy week. Wisconsin still has a game today against Cornell and a game on Nov. 20 against Presbyterian. Creighton just got done whooping Presbyterian by the score of 87-58. Then Wisconsin will finally take on the Blue Jays at home on Nov. 23.

The Badgers did not look like a ranked team whatsoever when they took on the Florida Gators, but Florida is one of the best teams in the nation, and the game was on the road. Wisconsin still had plenty of talent on its team, so don’t expect it to fold this season. Jared Berggren is leading the team with 15 points per game.

Berggren and McDermott will flood the headlines, since they are two of the best players in the nation. Which star will lead its team to victory? We will just have to wait and see on Friday, but expect a great game, where any team is capable of coming up with the victory.
