December 1st will be a day to remember in the SEC. Many of the top teams in the SEC take on talented non-conference opposition in a chance to prove why the SEC is one of the top leagues in the country. Two of the remaining four undefeated SEC teams also play the first real challenges of their season.

The Ole Miss Rebels take on a good Rutgers team in a game that will determine whether Ole Miss’s undefeated start to the season is fluke. Senior Forward Murphy Holloway will have a chance to prove himself against strong opposition. One of these teams is making it to the NCAA tournament – this could be a March Madness level game.

Kentucky takes on a talented NCAA tournament bound Baylor Bears team and should have Point Guard Ryan Harrow back after a stretch with the Flu. Kentucky has really been missing the transfer – his absence an important factor in the loss to Duke. Kentucky needs to beat Baylor (possibly the best team in the Big 12) to prove its dominance against talented opposition.

And the marquee game of the day – Alabama vs. No. 17 Cincinnati. These two undefeated teams should play a great game. The (should be ranked) Crimson Tide match up with the No. 17 Bearcats on so many levels – Sean Kilpatrick and Cashmere Wright versus Trevor Lacy and Trevor Releford – these duos are some of the best in college basketball. The winner of this game will get a big boost in the rankings and a huge addition to their resume for NCAA tournament hopes.
