Other SEC Teams Lack of Focus Helps Florida Gators

The Florida Gators are benefitting from a breakdown of the top teams in the SEC East.

Kentucky has lost three games already this season, more than the entirety of last season. The Wildcats have to figure out their point guard situation soon or the season is going to continue to spiral downward.Missouri, on the other hand, is playing well, but has lost star player Michael Dixon, Jr. Missouri remains a top team, but Missouri could be overmatched against extremely talented opposition. Phil Pressey cannot beat teams like Florida on his own.The Tennessee Volunteers have a scoring problem, losing to Georgetown 36-37 in what could be the worst basketball game of all time. Tennessee, however, will get back star player Jeronne Maymon who dominated Florida all of last season. These three top SEC East teams are struggling to start the season, giving Florida a major advantage.

Florida is undefeated and crushing teams by an average of twenty points a game. Kenny Boynton is playing like one of the best players in the country, Erik Murphy is shooting lights out from three point range, and Patric Young is playing consistently like he was at the end of last season. The other undefeated teams in the SEC are not on the same level as Florida. Ole Miss and LSU are both good teams, but Florida would crush them in a matchup. The Gators are rolling, and the more they play, the more they look like the team to beat in the SEC.
