La Salle Gets a Game Winning Bucket From Tyreek Duren to Beat Northeastern

The La Salle Explorers keep their winning streak going and defeat the Northeastern Huskies on a game winning bucket by point guard Tyreek Duren. This is not the first time TD3 has done this season.

When the Explorers took on Villanova, Duren hit a game tying three to send the game into overtime and La Salle went on to win. It was the same story here again but they did not have to go to overtime. Duren would hit a short pull up jumper with 1.2 seconds left on the clock. He definitely has the clutch gene.

Tyreek Duren would finish the game with 12 points, three rebounds, and four assists. Also for the Explorers, senior guard Ramon Galloway continued on his scoring tear this week. He scored 24 points and led both teams in scoring.

The Explorers are now starting off another season hot with a record of 6-1. They finished this week of hoops going 2-0.

La Salle won’t play until next Saturday, December 15th, as they will go on the road to take on Bucknell (Patriot). The Bisons are a very dangerous team as they are 8-1 on the season.

They have beaten teams such as Kent State, George Mason, and Purdue so far. Their only loss this season came to Penn State by three, what a coincidence as the Explorers destroyed the Nittany Lions on Wednesday night.

If La Salle can pick up the victory next Saturday versus Bucknell, then it will be a great tournament resume win.
