The Winner of the Florida-Arizona Game Will Have Serious Bragging Rights
The Florida Gators and Arizona Wildcats will be going head to head this week in college basketball. This game consists of two top 10 teams, two undefeated teams and two teams that are talented enough to make a Final Four run this season. With that said, the winner of this game will have serious bragging rights.
The Gators have been on fire this year, beating opposing teams by an average of 25 points per game. This hasn’t been the easiest competition by any means. Florida has beaten the Wisconsin Badgers, Marquette Golden Eagles and Florida State Seminoles. Overall, Billy Donovan’s team is 7-0 on the season.
As for the Wildcats, they also have a perfect record at 7-0. Arizona hasn’t had as impressive of wins as Florida, but they have met expectations for the season so far and look like the best team in the Pac-12. Sophomore Nick Johnson is leading the team in points, averaging 13.6 points per game, but the two best seniors on the team are off to great seasons as well. Solomon Hill and Mark Lyons are both averaging 12 plus points per game.
This game will be played in Arizona, but the Gators have to be the favorite coming into this one, since they have been blowing away the competition.
Whether the case, these two teams may enter this game undefeated, but only one can stay perfect. Are the Wildcats once again an elite team in college basketball or will the Gators continue beating teams by double digits? We will just have to wait and see.
