The Most Disappointing Team in the SEC

The most disappointing team in the SEC is split between two teams: The Kentucky Wildcats and the Georgia Bulldogs.

The Kentucky Wildcats are disappointing because the expectations were so high. The preseason No. 3 team, the Wildcats, has already lost three games this season. Three losses are more than Kentucky lost all last season. Kentucky has suffered from a point guard dilemma; it looks like the point guards cannot keep up with the talent of the rest of the team. Nerlens Noel and Alex Poythress look like future NBA stars. Although the Wildcats have been a disappointment, do not count them out. John Calipari is still their coach and, after an absolute demolishing of the Baylor Bears, Kentucky has broken into the top 25 once more.

The Georgia Bulldogs came into the season expected to be a darkhorse for the SEC race; how wrong everyone was. The Bulldogs have started the season 3 – 7; the worst record in the SEC. Georgia played close games against then No. 11 UCLA and then No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers but were blown out by Youngstown State, South Florida, and Georgia Tech. Georgia’s season is not over, but it’s starting to look like recovery is impossible for the Bulldogs. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is still one of the best players in the SEC, but he has to get some help or the Bull dogs will continue losing for the rest of their season. Georgia’s expectations were so high to begin the season; it is extremely disappointing to see where the Bulldogs are now.
