Reggie Bullock will not play today against No. 20 ranked UNLV today.  North Carolina announced the news this afternoon that Bullock will be forced to sit due to a mild concussion.

Without Bullock, North Carolina is going to have a very difficult time defeating a very good Rebels team.  Bullock and James Michael McAdoo have been basically carrying the team the whole season.

Also helping them out is 6th man, P.J. Hairston who will get the nod from Roy Williams to replace Bullock in the starting lineup.  Hairston has been a huge help to Carolina, averaging 12 points and 4.5 rebounds a game coming off the bench.

Today, he will have to do a little more than that to help fill in for Bullock’s 13 points and 6 rebounds a game.  J.P. Tokoto will also see more action today as Carolina looks to get a much needed win.

Tokoto is an athletic freshman who has earned a lot more playing team as the season has moved on.  He is a great rebounder, defender, and he can attack the basket with great athleticism.

Carolina desperately needs to beat an above average team today as they do not have a quality win yet this season.  Without Bullock, it will not be easy for the Tar Heels.

Carolina will be playing with a little chip on their shoulder which should provide some much need intensity as they are looking for payback against UNLV who knocked them off in Vegas last season.

Hairston will need to come out and show what he is made of if Carolina wants to win, but it will be a difficult task without their best 3-point shooter in Bullock.
