North Carolina learned a lot about themselves as a team and as individuals after Sunday nights loss.  A lack of leadership was something the Tar Heels had and that is a major problem.

On Monday, the Tar Heels sat down to watch film with coach Roy Williams for well over three hours.  The time spent in the film room is self explanatory due to the performance Carolina displayed on Sunday.

After the film session, guard, Reggie Bullock called a players only meeting.  Player only meetings always seem to come around during a tough stretch for a team.  Carolina isn’t in so much of a rough stretch right now, they are just lacking a couple of vital aspects that they need to talk about as a team.

In the meeting, Bullock said the team was just talking about what they need to amongst themselves.  He explained in an interview that coach Williams can tell them everything and that he knows what it takes to win, he has done it before, but it is up to us as a team to do it.

Bullock said that himself, Dexter Strickland, the only senior on the team, and James Michael McAdoo felt as leaders, they needed to discuss these problems with their teammates.

It is great for North Carolina that players are stepping into the leadership role, now they just need it to translate to better intensity on the basketball court.

North Carolina will take on Miami (FL) tomorrow night looking for a much needed win.

Will the players only meeting work out for North Carolina? We will all just have to wait and see.
