The Mountain West Conference had a big day on Wednesday night and it included a highlight worthy buzzer beater that sent Wyoming home with their first loss of the season.

From an individual standpoint however, the highlight of the night may once again be coming from the MWC.

San Diego State star and preseason All-American candidate Jamaal Franklin showcased his ridiculous athleticism and in lack of a better phrase, one way to run a successful fast break.

In transition, Franklin pushed the ball and tempo before letting it fly off the glass from just around the three-point line. He followed his own pass and flushed the slam with two hands in a play that certainly is worthy of Sportscenter’s Top 10.

Take a look at the video clip below:

The dunk happen just before the halfway point of the second half as part of the Aztecs’ conference opener at Fresno State. Franklin was stuffing the stat sheet throughout the night, from both a scoring and rebounding standpoint, so there’s no doubt his confidence was through the roof, especially with the chance to do what he did.

Head coach Steve Fisher may have had some choices words for Franklin had he not completed the self alley-oop, but oh well, he did and college basketball fans have a video to replay over and over again.

If you don’t already know the name Jamaal Franklin, then you probably should and his performance and highlight reel finish on Wednesday night was just another indication of that.
