Bo Ryan keeps on winning. At this point, the Wisconsin Badgers basketball coach can do no wrong. A lot of people wrote his team off before the season started but they currently sit at 4-0 in conference after a big road win against the Indiana Hoosiers.
Seriously, Ryan does this year after year. Once Josh Gasser went down before the season, I wrote Wisky off. I thought they were going to lack the talent to compete with the top teams. After an up and down non-conference, they sit at the top of the league. That fact is stunning to me at this point.
Ryan is simply one of the best coaches in college basketball. I feel like he is always getting overlooked but that tends to happen when you coach in the same conference with Tom Izzo. His teams always buy in to his system and they always end up making some noise in the tournament. He has been there every year since he started coaching this team and this year will continue that trend.
They are going to be one of those teams that is contending for the Big Ten title by the end of the season. That is just how it works with this team. You can underrate them all you want but they will always be there at the end. They might not make a deep run in March but you know that they can hang with any team in the nation. That is the sign of a fantastic coach.
