Wichita State Looks To Bounce Back Against Northern Iowa

With a tough loss on Wednesday to Indiana State, can the Wichita State Shockers bounce back against a solid Northern Iowa team.  You never know what a college basketball team is thinking this late into the season, but for the Shockers they need to bring their A game if they want to leave Cedar Falls with a much needed conference win.  They not only need this victory to keep ahead in the conference race but also to maintain a decent seed in the upcoming NCAA tournament, in which they want to make some noise.

It won’t come easy as they take on a much better team than what their record indicates.  The Panthers stand at 4-6 in conference and 11-11 overall.  This team is way better than their record.  With their last two losses to Indiana State on a bad foul with under a second left and against Evansville in overtime, this team could very well be in the hunt for a Missouri Valley Championship as well.  They also are playing on their home court which is a tough place to play.  This will be a good test on whether the Shockers are for real or not.  Bouncing back after a tough loss.

What the Shockers need to do to win the game.  They can’t allow the Panthers to slow the game down.  They need to force turnovers and get out on the run as they are much more athletic than the Panthers.  Once they let them slow down and play the way they want to play it could be a long day for the Shockers along with them hitting three-pointers.  I feel if the Shockers can come in and rebound and force turnovers they should be able to escape with an impressive road victory over the Panthers.
