Top Five Matchup Will Happen Again This Season

Saturday night’s big tilt between the Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines ended in a home victory for the Hoosiers, propelling them back to the No. 1 ranking in the country. Michigan, on the other hand, fell from the top spot down to No. 3.

The two teams will play again in each team’s regular season finale on March 10 and I think that they will end up playing yet again the following Sunday in the Big Ten Tournament final. I also wouldn’t be surprised if there is another meeting in the NCAA Tournament. I honestly believe that these are the top two teams in the country with their play this season, making it apparent that the Big Ten is the top conference in the country with several ranked teams.

I enjoyed the atmosphere in Bloomington Saturday night when the two teams got together and I’m sure that same feeling will happen in Ann Arbor in a month. Michigan and Indiana are on a collision course this season for a national championship. It could be a regional final, national semifinal or national championship game but I strongly think these two teams will be playing again in the postseason. They are just too good and it makes the Big Ten look like a better conference.
