Kentucky basketball is in good hands next season, as they have some amazing recruits coming in. Although there is still some hope for Kentucky to make a run in March, there is a lot more hope in the 2013-2014 season.

James Young, a 6’6″ shooting guard, committed to Kentucky last November and is apart of what some recruiting analysts call the best recruiting class coach John Calipari has ever put together, which is saying a lot about how good this 2013 class is.  Young is considered the fourth-best shooting guard and the 11th-best player in the 2013 class according to 247 Sports. He is also considered the best player in the class from the state of Michigan.

Future150.com says of the 5-star recruit:

Young is one of the most explosive players in the class of 2013. A talented wing who is absolutely wired to score, he can score at all three levels. He also possesses that killer instinct that allows him to take over games. He is also a fantastic rebounder for his position and an active defender.

In last nights game, he led his school, Rochester High, to victory with 43 points, 22 rebounds & 7 assists against Avondale High. His team only scored 78 points, that is an amazing stat line.

He also had this amazing dunk, where he leaped over a defender to slam it home.

Poor No. 3, that kid thought he had great defensive position, but he forgot to turn around.

Young is a phenomenal athlete, with obviously amazing leaping ability. I am sure Calipari and Big Blue Nation can’t wait to see him hit the floor next year.
