Indiana is still the best team in the nation and the best team in the Big Ten.

The loss on the road to Illinois earlier this week means little now because the Hoosiers bounced back with an impressive road win over Ohio State on Sunday.

Crazy things happen on the road, especially against struggling teams, and against the Fighting Illini, the Hoosiers lost their grip on momentum and suffered a 74-72 loss.

But the mark  of a good team is one that overcomes adversity, and against the No. 10 Buckeyes, the Hoosiers did just that, winning 81-68.

Indiana took care of business behind an overwhelming balanced attack. Victor Oladipo continues to shine, pouring in a career-high 26 points, and Cody Zeller dropped in 24 points.

Christian Watford did his part as well, clicking for 20 points as Indiana earned its third win of the season over a top 10 team.

The Hoosiers shot a blistering 53 percent from the floor as they stole an important road win that could a long way in their quest to win a conference championship.

The Buckeyes aren’t a bad team, but against the Hoosiers, they managed to shoot only 41.4 percent from the field as they lost back-to-back games for the first time since 2010.

Had Indiana lost this game, it would have deserved to fall from its No. 1 spot.

But because the Hoosiers took care of business against Ohio State on Sunday afternoon after a fluke loss to Illinois, they deserve to remain the No. 1 team in the country when the new poll comes out Monday.
