Ohio State Has Two Games to Figure Things Out

The No. 10 Ohio State Buckeyes have two games two figure it out. What exactly do I mean by that? Well, the Buckeyes did not have the best week in the world, losing to both the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines in overtime and the No. 1 Indiana Hoosiers at home.

The Buckeyes will have two “tuneup” games before having to play two very tough games in a row once again. However, the Big Ten is filled with great teams and really no team is safe in this conference, hence the quotes around tuneup.

Ohio State will take on Northwestern at home and then will travel to Wisconsin to take on the Badgers. Okay, the game against Wisconsin isn’t exactly easy, considering that the Badgers did just beat Michigan and is 8-3 in the conference.

However, after that game the Buckeyes will have to play No. 18 Minnesota and No. 12 Michigan State in back-to-back games. Yeah, the Big Ten is brutal no matter who you are. The Buckeyes will literally not get a break, but that is just how it is when one conference has five ranked teams.

Ohio State is a good team and all, though, since it did enter this week by being ranked the No. 10 team in the nation.

Deshaun Thomas needs to continue doing his thing, which means scoring points at will. Thomas is averaging 19.9 points per game on the year. It would also be nice if Aaron Craft was always as effective in the scoring department as he was against the Hoosiers, scoring 16 points in that game.

Whether the case, this team needs to get back on track this week before playing two more ranked teams in the conference.
