Don't Count Out Wisconsin for the Big Ten Regular Season Title

Everyone is talking about the Indiana Hoosiers and Michigan Wolverines in the Big Ten, but what about the Wisconsin Badgers?

Sure, the Badgers do not have the best overall record in college basketball, being 17-7 on the season. However, Wisconsin is 8-3 in conference play, which is good enough to be one game back in the Big Ten race. The Badgers are, of course, trailing Indiana in the conference, but to many people’s surprise, Michigan State is also in first place.

Non-conference schedule aside–where Wisconsin lost four games– this team has beaten No. 12 Illinois (twice), No. 2 Indiana, No. 12 Minnesota and No. 3 Michigan. These rankings were at the time, but that is still very impressive no matter who you are.

The Badgers have lost to Ohio State, Michigan State and Iowa on the year, though, but you can expect that because the Big Ten is by far the best conference in the nation this season.

Whether the case, this team has beaten the best teams in the conference, who are also the best teams in the nation.

The Hoosiers have only lost one game at home this season and that was obviously against Wisconsin.

The Badgers are currently on a three-game winning streak and they could really make some noise by beating Minnesota (again) and Ohio State in their next two games. With their current winning streak, the polls have awarded this team by being ranked in both of the major polls.

Wisconsin has no bad losses on the year and people better believe that they are good enough to win the Big Ten regular season title.
