Louisville Basketball Will be Wearing Jerseys With Sleeves Thanks to Adidas
Last year the Louisville Cardinals went on a roll when Adidas gave them their infrared jersey’s just in time for the Big East Conference tournament. Now Adidas has announced that the Cardinals will have new jerseys coming their way very soon, this time they will have sleeves.
Other teams that you can might see in sleeves as well are Indiana, Baylor, UCLA and Kansas. Adidas has also made uniforms for the NBA‘sGolden State Warriors. If you want to see what these interesting jerseys are going to look like, just Google it and look at poor Harrison Barnes in the ugliest jersey since the ABA.
Lawrence Norman, vice president of Adidas global basketball, said of the new jerseys via USA Today:
“It’s the newest in line of innovations we’ve brought to the table by Adidas Basketball that unites performance with bold, unique styles for players and fans, from the court to street. The importance of this is this is the beginning of a change with regards to the way players look on court and the way fans support their teams.”
It kinda makes sense on a marketing side. You don’t see too many people wearing just a basketball jersey because they don’t have sleeves. So if you put out a jersey with sleeves people will more likely to buy them. But there has to be away of keep them from looking so ugly.
When I asked Louisville fans via Twitter their thoughts, here are just a few of their responses.
@jonkysportsco I am appalled! Give me infrareds or give me nothing!

Most Louisville fans will not like these new jerseys, I also guarantee that coach Rick Pitino wont like them. But if Louisville starts to win, fans and Rick Pitino will tolerate them just like they did the infrared ones last season.
