Kentucky Freshman Nerlens Noel Suffers Very Ugly-Looking Injury

Nerlens Noel has been a very good player for the Kentucky Wildcats this year. The superstar freshman may not be the best offensive player in the world, but he can change games on the defensive end. On Tuesday, the potential top five draft pick had to leave the floor with a knee injury that looked absolutely brutal.

Noel ended up going knee first into the basket support and it looked like his knee completely buckled. I am no doctor, but the injury does not look good at all. I know that a lot of people are hoping that there is nothing too serious, but the initial look is not a very good one.

The Florida Gators fans even knew that it was bad. College fans may sometimes get a bad rap, but the fans did cheer when Noel left the court. He had to be carried off his by his teammates and he was putting zero weight on his leg, but hopefully he has no serious damage to his leg long-term.

If he does have a serious injury, it will seriously hamper this team for the rest of the season. They will probably still make the tournament but they will have a lot of issues without Noel. As far as his future goes, it might cause him to slide down draft boards a bit. However, the kid still has tons of talent, so it should not hurt him that much.

The college basketball world is praying that Noel avoided the worst. Hopefully the big man is back on the court at some point this year.
