It was a banner day for Florida on Tuesday as they easily handled SEC power Kentucky in Gainesville. The game was overshadowed by the injury to Nerlens Noel, but there’s no denying how the Gators took apart Kentucky.

Now, riding high after their big win, the Gators need to refocus and set their sights on a difficult two road games ahead. It’s weird to associate SEC league play with difficult unless you’re talking about Florida, or possibly Kentucky, but road conference games are never easy no matter what conference a team plays in. As for Florida’s upcoming road trip they will need to put the Kentucky game behind them but also bring the confidence they earned with them.

We all remember the last time Florida played a road game in their loss to Arkansas, so to take that game out of people’s minds, they will need to take care of Auburn in their first of two straight road contests. Auburn does have some talent and they have a penchant for upsets, they beat Alabama at home earlier this season. So if Florida wants to avoid another head-scratching loss, they will need to put the Tigers away early because letting a home team hang around can only mean bad things.

Their next game after Auburn is at Missouri, arguably their toughest conference road game of the season. Mizzou had their struggles this season, but they have won three of their last four games to improve to 18-6 (7-4). First thing first for Florida though, they have to beat Auburn.

With the confidence they gained from taking care of Kentucky, Florida should not have any problems as they head back out on the road.
