Ohio State Gets Back on Track With A Victory Over Northwestern

After two straight losses, the Ohio State Buckeyes got back on track with a victory over the Northwestern Wildcats.

Deshaun Thomas put the basketball in the hoop at a high rate, like he always does with  22 points in the game.

The Buckeyes absolutely needed a victory in that game because they will have to play Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan State in consecutive games. However, the Big Ten has been brutal this season, so teams like Ohio State have to take one game at a time, and by brutal I mean quality teams have been beating up on each other on a nightly basis.

Ohio State and Wisconsin are both two games back in the Big Ten standings, so you can expect a March Madness like atmosphere when these two teams meet up on Sunday. It is a must-win game for both teams, considering that the winner of the conference this year will likely have less than five losses in conference play.

Whether the case, the Buckeye got a big win tonight, but there is still a lot of work left to do. Ohio State is currently 18-6 on the season, with an 8-4 conference record.

This team will likely get a decent seed in the NCAA tournament, since they are No. 13 in the nation and all right now. However, Ohio State can really make some noise by winning the rest of its six regular season games, but that will be quite the feat, since the Buckeyes will also have to take on Indiana on the road.
