Wisconsin Drops A Crucial Game Against Minnesota in Overtime

The Wisconsin Badgers went down to the Minnesota Gophers on the road in overtime, dropping a very crucial game in Big Ten play.

After being one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten over the past couple of games, the Badgers finally fell against a Minnesota team that was in search of a big win.

This loss puts Wisconsin two games back in conference play, which couldn’t have come at a worse time. This team will have to play Ohio State in its very next game, but luckily it will be played at home.

The Big Ten is arguably the best conference in all of college basketball and a loss this late in the season could very easily cost a team the regular season title. This may be the case with the Badgers.

Wisconsin will likely have to win out just to even win the regular season title, which will be a hard feat, considering that it still has to play Ohio State and Michigan State. Not to mention, the game against the Spartans will be played on the road.

The Badgers have already lost to both of those teams this season, so you can bet it will have to play its best basketball down the stretch if it has any chance at winning those games and finishing first in the conference.

Wisconsin is clearly an NCAA tournament team this season, so it really doesn’t have to worry about that, but it does need to worry about its seeding.

Even with the loss on the road to Minnesota, Wisconsin is a great team and one of the best in all of college basketball.
