Wisconsin Badgers Cause a Mess at the Top of the Big 10

The Wisconsin Badgers have played hard all season against good teams. The Badgers upset the No. 3 Michigan Wolverines and the No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers, but struggled against the teams around them in the Big 10 standings. These losses have led to Wisconsin being tied for third, two games behind Big 10 leaders Indiana and Michigan State.

Indiana and Michigan State both have extremely tough schedules to close out the season. Both teams take on Michigan, Ohio State, and each other, while Wisconsin has a relatively weak schedule leading up to the game against the Spartans. Barring a major upset, there should be a free-for-all up top between Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, and maybe even Ohio State. It looks like the Big 10 is going to go down to the last few games of the season, and any loss by any team could have dire consequences.

The Badgers take on Michigan State March 7th in a game that has Big 10 title implications. Two games is a lot to make up, but Wisconsin has a much easier schedule than the rest of the top teams. Wisconsin has already played Michigan State once this season and only lost by two; the Badgers will be out for revenge the second time around.

Michigan State has to win against Wisconsin if it wants to win the Big 10. If any team is capable of pulling off upsets in the Big 10, it is this talented Badgers team. Tom Izzo is one of the best coaches in the country at the end of the season year after year, so he already knows the implications of this crucial match-up.  Wisconsin is stirring up some trouble in the Big 10, and do not be surprised if the Badgers end up taking the regular season title.
