Georgetown Hoyas Catch a Break in Big East Conference Race

The Georgetown Hoyas are currently tied with two other teams for the lead in the Big East Conference. However, for the sake of this argument you need not worry about them, for now. All you need to know is that the Hoyas are one of the hottest teams in the conference, on a seven game winning streak, and a gift is about to be bestowed upon them.

While battling for one’s regular season conference championship, it would be nice to have some games gifted to you. Now, the Hoyas’ next game isn’t exactly a forfeit or anything, but it is as close as they come in sports. That is right, Georgetown is only a day away from playing the atrocious DePaul Blue Demons.

Now before all 19 of you DePaul fans go crazy, I root for them to do well(More cash in me pockets), but let’s be honest about how bad they are. Despite having a few(mere) moments where the team looks like they have figured it out, the Blue Demons are the equivalent of a hamster on a wheel with no one around to give it water. That is right, DePaul is currently running around just waiting to be officially dead, or for the season to mercifully end.

Momentum is next day’s starting pitcher…Wait, momentum is your next game’s opponent  Georgetown gets to play one of the two worst teams in the Big East tomorrow. This is essentially a victory before the game is even played. If I were more cynical, I would think that the Catholic Seven will conspire to make sure one of them wins it. But I am not, I just know DePaul is that bad and have no chance of beating the Hoyas.

None, dead hamster.
